"Go and make disciples of all nations." Matthew 28:19

God wants to make Himself known through His saints, those who already believe in Him, so other people can come to know Him and thus become saints in their turn.

It is a continuous process. The story of Jesus and the Good News of salvation must be told over and over so new generations of saints can join the body of Christ.

It is a worldwide process. There are always parts of the world that either have not heard or have forgotten what they once knew about Jesus. The Gospel must be proclaimed in every corner of the earth age after age.

It is a renewing process for the hearers and brings new life to them. Eternal death is what those without the Gospel know of life. To unlock the doors of eternal death with the Gospel is to enlarge, enrich, and expand life for all who believe it.

It is a renewing process also for the bearer of the Gospel. People who try to keep the Gospel for themselves will soon not appreciate it. Their faith will become lukewarm and perhaps fade entirely away. Speaking the Gospel renews faith in the speaker as well. Jesus made it clear that saints are to make new saints in every generation.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, use my mouth and my life to honor my Savior's name and to bring others closer to Him; through Jesus Christ. Amen.
