Chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel, Steven Hokana
Chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel, Steven Hokana is an ordained minister in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. His driving passion is a deep love for those who struggle through difficult life events. He has written and spoken extensively on the topic of Christ's power through painful issues of life. He is a clinically trained hospital chaplain with a specialty in spirituality and post-traumatic stress disorder. He is also an active member of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education and a Diplomate, American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress as well as a board-certified chaplain.
Hokana is an active-duty U.S. Army chaplain with more than 28 years of service to our nation. He loves those who serve our country and their families. His military experience has taken him to the Middle East, Cuba, Bosnia, Germany, Alaska and multiple stateside assignments. His assignments vary from Airborne Infantry, Armor, to major medical centers and military academic institutions.
Chaplain Hokana is married to his awesome bride for 29 years. They have three wonderful children. One is studying for future church work; another is a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and the youngest loves sports.
