Hands-on Experiences
Teachers shared feedback from their Gospel Adventures: Go Mongolia experience this year, including their students’ favorite parts of the program and how their classroom activities and discussions connected them with life and kids in Mongolia.

Students in kindergarten through eighth grade at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Perham, Minnesota, participated in Gospel Adventures during National Lutheran Schools Week this year. “The teachers who follow the program in their classroom use the curriculum lessons provided, and they love the images, videos, facts, and the activities you can do with the kids,” says Candice Bicondoa, principal.

“They love learning about other countries, the different cultures, and how people live,” says Bicondoa. “We love that we can show them virtually what God is doing around the world in the lives of His children. This was St. Paul’s fourth school year participating in Gospel Adventures, and I used it at a previous Lutheran school for several years.”

Students in preschool through fifth grade at Mountain View Lutheran School in Las Vegas, Nevada, “traveled” to Mongolia during Nevada Reading Week in March. “We used the coloring pages, made the gers, watched the videos, and collected coins with the coin boxes,” says Christy Schneider, kindergarten teacher. “We sent the coin boxes home as an optional activity and collected $225 for LHM’s Global Kids Fund that week.”

“The videos and the song were the students’ favorites,” says Schneider. “We made an eagle using the Mongolian flags as feathers, and the kids loved seeing that come together and then “flying” in the narthex of our church.”

Make an Impact Around the World
As a way to support children’s ministry around the world, individuals, schools, and churches participating in Gospel Adventures: Go Mongolia can choose to donate through chapel offerings or coin drives. These donations will go toward LHM’s Global Kids Fund, which supports programs that are similar to the ones they see during the Gospel Adventures program.

Your gifts will fuel programs for youth in Mongolia and elsewhere that are designed to share the Gospel with those who have not yet heard it. The ministry hosts vacation Bible school, youth gatherings, and workshops, provides holistic outreach to youth in need, and develops a variety of age-appropriate resources that teach about Jesus and offer biblically based guidance.

By supporting our Global Kids Fund, YOU can help share Christ’s message of hope with children throughout Mongolia through LHM’s programs.
