Nearly 12 million people have been displaced since a civil war started in Syria in 2011, with around 4 million of these people leaving the country. While fewer than 2,000 refugees have come to the United States so far, around 10,000 more are expected in the next year as the Syrian conflict continues.

How do we welcome with open arms those individuals who have survived in circumstances we would consider impossible? More importantly, how do we show them the light of the Gospel in contrast to the darkness they've known?

Join us on Saturday, October 24th at 10 a.m. Central Time for a live, one-hour webinar: Refugees in America: An Outreach Opportunity with special guest speaker, Rev. Stanish Stanley. In this interactive webinar, Rev. Stanley will share the unique opportunity that American Christians have to serve refugee families from around the world and show them the love of Christ. Rev. Stanley has spent the majority of his life in Mumbai, India, where he served as pastor before coming to the U.S. to earn his Ph.D. at Concordia Seminary and serve refugee families in connection with Christian Friends of New Americans.
