LHM Included in 2011 Combined Federal Campaign

Sep. 8, 2011

Lutheran Hour Ministries will participate for the fourth year in a row in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), a workplace giving opportunity from September through December for United States military and federal employees worldwide. If you or someone in your congregation is a federal employee or a member of the military, don't miss this opportunity to pledge a donation to LHM! The ministry received more than $35,000 in pledges during the Fall 2010 campaign.

Approved charities are required to submit to extensive review of financial and governance practices. To qualify, charities must demonstrate that they provide or conduct real services, benefits, assistance, or program activities in at least 15 states or one foreign country over the three-year period immediately preceding the start of the campaign application year.

For more information on LHM's participation in the CFC, see our ad in the "Best of the CFC" newspaper insert, easily found online at www.bestcfc.org or in your area campaign's CFC brochure. If you are not a federal employee or member of the military, you may still be able to make a donation to LHM through your corporate campaign. Many corporations include the charities endorsed by the Independent Charities of America into their corporate giving opportunities. Ask your employer for details.
