WorkDay 2020 At Home

Although April 25th has passed, there is still work to be done—you can still join us by hosting a WORK DAY in your church or group! This nationwide service event is open to men’s groups and others willing to contribute a few hours of their time to help those in need. Our aim is for projects to be truly outreach in nature—benefitting neighborhoods and communities—and accomplished off church campuses. To encourage such work, the Men’s NetWork will recognize five different men’s groups with its first-ever LHM Neighborhood Service Award. Winners’ projects will be notable in how they impacted neighborhood and/or community concerns. For their outreach focus, these groups will receive a $100 VISA gift card to use as they choose.

Can you still participate in the annual Men’s NetWork WORK DAY during this time of social distancing and Shelter-In-Place orders? Yes! Loving your neighbor has never been more important!

However, this year will look different than WORK DAYS in the past. Considering the recommended social distancing across the country, we are encouraging three options for your group:

  1. For your stay-at-home 2020 WORK DAY, find a project to do individually at the same time, in your own neighborhood. (click here for a list of ideas)

  2. Consider every day a WORK DAY! Work with your men’s group on how to be present in your neighborhoods. Stay connected and encourage each other with ideas.

  3. Re-schedule your regular WORK DAY projects for later this summer, before Labor Day, Sept 7th. We will offer 3 LHM Neighborhood Service Awards for the spring and 3 for the summer WORK DAY.

To get involved in this year’s eighth annual WORK DAY, you and your group can sign up now. Everyone who participates will receive a new Men's NetWork cap to wear, designed especially for this year’s WORK DAY. The thousands of guys who’ve participated in the past can tell you this is an excellent event to bring men together. WORK DAY projects inspire participants and, more importantly, do vital work to bless others in your neighborhood and community.

In accordance with St. Louis County mandates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, LHM is operating with minimal staff in our physical office, and caps will not be shipped until further notice. Thank you for understanding.
