The Season of Lent Is Now Upon Us
With Ash Wednesday arriving tomorrow, Lent has begun. It's that contemplative time in the church calendar when we acknowledge our sins before God, praise Him for His mercy, and look to the cross of Christ for our full pardon. This year's Lenten devotions from LHM, People of the Passion, convey God's enduring love in our lives from the fall of man to the present.
Dr. Kari Vo, LHM's theological writer, has once again authored these seasonal messages. In them she shows how God's plan, from the beginning, included people who were instrumental in His divine design.
These messages are perfect for personal and group study; they're ideal as a pass-along resource for family members and friends, too. Did you find a message helpful or inspiring? Send it to someone in an e-mail. Nothing says, "You're on my mind," like a devotion telling them of God's love in Christ.
You can read People of the Passion or hear it as a podcast. During the Lenten season, you can receive these devotions as a daily e-mail, beginning Ash Wednesday, March 6, 2019. A downloadable version, which includes a large-font text and bulletin inserts, is available, too. Audio begins on March 6 with Dr. Michael Zeigler, Speaker for The Lutheran Hour, reading the devotions. You can click here for more details.
Los personajes de la Pasión, the Spanish-language version, will be available to read or hear online, or as a daily e-mail through the Lenten season beginning March 6, 2019. A customizable print version is now available. Rev. Hector Hoppe supplies the audio. You can click here for more details.
The regular Daily Devotions will resume on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.
