Two Jesus Booklets Make Perfect Pass-alongs to Those with Questions
Central to the Christian faith is an understanding of who Jesus is and what He did while He was here. Two new booklets from Project Connect, Who Is Jesus? and Why Did Jesus Die? make excellent outreach tools to give to people who have questions about the Person of Christ. Coming in at less than 20 pages each, these handy, easy-to-read booklets are ideal for handing out to those who want to know more -- in a hurry.
Written by Rev. Don Everts, content development manager at LHM, readers will find his style is straightforward and gets right to the point. He realizes that knowing who Jesus is is something each of us must understand for ourselves. He writes, "Who is Jesus? Ultimately, that is for us each to answer. I stand in a long line of pastors and emperors, saints and sinners, farmers and soldiers and beggars and mothers and children who answer this question the same way: Jesus is God in the flesh."
A logical next question to ask about Jesus is "Why did He die?" Here's where our sin comes into play. Everts speaks to the consequences of our wrongdoing and how Jesus' death (and resurrection) won salvation for us. "Jesus died so that all those who trust in Him can be justified, forever forgiven. He died so we could experience peace. As the earliest Christians put it, God made '... peace by the blood of His cross' (Colossians 1:20)."
