On the first date our men's group is partnering w the Lutheran early response team and cutting down three large trees on the church campus that have been hit by lightening and now pose a danger to those near the trees. The august event we will travel to an inner city churck in KC Kansas and provide over 100 sack lunches and breakfasts to those who are experiencing food indecurities

Service Project: Disaster Response Readiness

We will work on clearing out our Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) Disaster response trailer. We will take aout all item, inventory and clean all items, take out the shelving, put new flooring in the trailer, reconfigure shelfing in trailer and do additional maintenance of Disaster Trailer. We will also cut down 2-5 trees on the church campus that have been hit by lightening and are of a danger if left alone. We will use these trees to train new LERT members on how best to use the chainsaws during a disaster. This will be a multi congregation event including members from KIng of Kings Lutheran Gardner KS; 1st Lutheran Paola KS, Christ Lutheran Overland Park KS; Trinity Family of Christ

Kansas, Gardner: Men's NetWork WORK DAY 2020

Service Project: Searving Breakfast to individuals with food insecurities

Church: King of Kings Lutheran Church LCMS

We will be traveling from our home congregation to St.Luke's Lutheran CHurch in Kansas City KS. Two volunteers will be there at 6am to open up and start cooking while another 13 volunteers will travel an hour later to help. We will cook sausages, egg bake, pancakes, and serve hot coffee, orange juice and water to an anticipated over 90 individuals who are experiencing food insecurities. Each person will be encouraged to go through the line as many times as they would like= past experiences would indicate that we will serve approximately 240 meals. There will also be an opportunity, for those who desire, to use the shower facilities as well as have their clothes washed and dried.

We will learn how best to respond during natural and man made disasters-while displaying God's Mercy. On the second night we will learn about "Flood Buckets" and put together numerous buckets to be provided to those who h ave endured the recent floods in Nebraska and other local states.

This ramp will aid people with carts to more easily access the food bank when they can receive about 50 pounds of food. (This program is run every Tuesday and Friday). Missouri, Kirkwood: Men's NetWork Gives Back 2018

Concordia Men’s Ministry is coming together for the 4th annual community outreach project that demonstrates Christ’s love to those in need. Concordia’s men will distribute 1,000 Thanksgiving Dinners on Sunday, November 18, 2018. The packaged (not cooked) dinners will include a frozen turkey, stuffing, green beans, gravy and potatoes. We need men to help! On Saturday morning, November 17, from 9:00-10:00am, there will be a mandatory meeting and worship. After the service, from 10:00am-11:30am, there will be a volunteer opportunity to stage the food for distribution. On December 8th the Seymour city Christmas Parade passes by our church and this year we are providing brats and drinks to anyone and all funds raised with go toward special gifts for needy families in our community before Christmas. This has been an on going project in our community among the members of several different churches in our community in conjunction with the local Roman Catholic Church. Last year 180 food baskets were delivered and over 400 children received Christmas gifts in our Izard County.
