Holistic Program Encourages Woman
More than 10 years ago, a friend convinced Faith to begin a career in prostitution. She was a single mother and faced shame and rejection from her family members when they found out about her work. Faith was recently invited to participate in the Reaching Rahab program through LHM—Kenya and heard the Gospel message for the first time while learning a practical skill to help her earn money to support her family. She immediately felt a connection with the other individuals in the program and was eager to go back. After participating in the activities, LHM staff connected her to a local church where she began attending worship services regularly. Through the power of God’s Word, Faith became a Christian. Now she is married and has a healthy relationship with her family. Faith is thankful for the new skills she learned that allow her to provide financially for her family. She is also grateful for her new relationship with Jesus and is continuing to grow in her faith.
