Sri Lanka
LHM Ministry Response
Like each Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) ministry center, the Sri Lankan ministry center must rely on available resources to spread the Gospel message. This means that LHM—Sri Lanka relies on staff and volunteers to effectively distribute materials about Jesus to thousands.
The ministry center's two free Bible Correspondence Courses (BCC) are the most effective ministry tool. These courses are available in both native languages of Sinhalese and Tamil. Bible courses are promoted using local and national newspaper advertisements, and enrollment forms are also distributed throughout the country with the help of the pastors, evangelists, volunteers, and other BCC students.
LHM—Sri Lanka conducts Equipping the Saints (ETS) workshops to train Christian people to share the Gospel message of Jesus with non-Christians, as well as to give them counseling. This training program is strengthening the local congregations and the ministry center's outreach efforts.
