All who ever came before Me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. John 10:8-9 (NIV)
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
The salvation story of Jesus Christ reaches around the world. So that the readers of our Daily Devotion may see the power of the Savior on a global scale, we have asked the volunteers of our International Ministry Centers to write our Friday devotions. We pray that the Spirit may touch your day through their words.
In Christ, I remain, His servant and yours,
Kenneth R. Klaus
Speaker of The Lutheran Hour
The love God has for us is shown through the gift He gave us in His Son, Jesus Christ. And it is only through Him that we can come to God the Father.
We are like sheep and are easily led astray. But Jesus is the Good Shepherd who feeds us with His Word, sustains us with His love, and saves us by His death and resurrection. There is no better pasture to be in than His!
THE PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love that calls us to belong to You and Your arms that wait to hold us when we come through the doorway that is Christ. Amen.
