James is 45 years old and used to work as a security guard. He was falsely convicted of a crime that he did not commit and was sentenced to prison. James felt lost and hopeless. One day, an LHM—Kenya volunteer visited the prison and invited James to enroll in their Bible Correspondence Course. At first, he was reluctant but felt he had nothing to lose and decided to give it a try. As he studied the Bible, the message resonated with him and gave him a sense of peace and understanding. He learned about forgiveness, grace, and the boundless love of the Lord. Slowly, the despair that had gripped his heart began to lift, replaced by a newfound hope. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, James became a Christian. He is thankful to LHM—Kenya for providing the lessons and now he actively distributes them to other inmates. James said, “Despite my imprisonment, I thank God for the mercy and grace He has granted me to be a partaker in the Kingdom of God.”
