Associate Director, United States Ministries



Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve the ministry as Associate Director, United States Ministries (USM). Reporting to the Division Director, USM, the Associate Director, USM will provide leadership to the creative functions within the USM Division. The incumbent assists the USM Director in managing the budget and the development of content and programs related to assigned areas. The Associate Director contributes to the development of goals for the Strategic Plan and ensures implementation is consistent with LHM strategic plans, policies, other guidelines, and applicable law.

* Member of a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregation and faithfully supports the Synod's mission and theology
* A deep appreciation for and an ability to successfully articulate the mission and values of Lutheran Hour Ministries
* Personal commitment to Christian outreach
* Solid practicing Christian
* Bachelor's degree in related field - or - equivalent combination of education and experience
* Proven experience and ability with team-oriented management of creative staff
* Visionary, creative, and strategic thinker with the ability to put ideas and plans into action to achieve specific key results
* Understanding of and commitment to constituent needs
* Strong creativity, writing, and verbal communication skills
* Willing to do occasional traveling and presentations
* Experience in using and/or developing tools and systems for performance measurement
* Experience in program and curriculum design and development
* Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research

Location: The position is based in St. Louis.
