Special Poem and Prayer

Dear Lord,
The call to war has come,
And all across our land,
Loved ones prepare to join the fight,
For which our country stands.
Give them strength of heart
To bare what is in store.
Protect their bodies in the coming fight
From the bullets used in war.
And when the stress of conflict comes
And tugs at soul and heart,
Show them your love is always theirs
It’s been with them from the start.
I ask you Lord to bring all home,
But for those that cannot be
Provide Your loving comfort,
To friends and family,
Amen

Lord,
Thank you for your blessings throughout my life.
Protect and be with my loved ones back home and with my comrades in arms.
Please grant me courage in this place and time, the strength to endure in adversity and pain, and the ability to accept whatever the outcome, knowing that you are beside me with every step.
