| Lutheran Hour Ministries Can Help Your Members and Students Get Involved in Ablaze! |

 Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) is joining The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in its Ablaze!™ movement to reach 100 million unreached or uncommitted people by the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017. LHM has set goals to reach 25 million people by 2017 and to activate 250,000 volunteers by 2010. LHM and its volunteers have already reached out to more than 1.37 million people on behalf of the Ablaze! movement, the most contacts so far of any Lutheran organization.
One way your congregation members or students can make a world of difference in Ablaze! is by participating in the volunteer opportunities provided by LHM, a global movement of Christians 100,000 people strong. LHM offers 10 hands-on ways that people in your church or school can help.
These volunteer opportunities include everything from hosting an Equipping to Share workshop for everyday evangelism at your church, to forming a Global Work & Witness team for short-term volunteer trips overseas, to sending Global Care Packages of school supplies to families in need, to being an LHM prayer partner, and much more.
There are two ways for someone to become a volunteer:
1) There is a “Sign Up to be an LHM Volunteer” web page where people can learn more about each LHM volunteer program and sign up to get involved. There are also links to connect them to pertinent LHM program Web pages for more information.
2) There is an exciting new printed brochure called “Get Involved in LHM” that can be used to invite people to volunteer for any of LHM’s 10 volunteer programs. These brochures can be used in a presentation to briefly explain about each of our volunteer options and then interested individuals can choose one and sign up for it right on the spot. Then they simply mail the tear-off response coupon back to LHM to become activated. Brochures are available by printing a PDF of the document or by calling the LHM Response Center at 1-800-876-9880 and requesting product number 1FE34.

Order the LHM 'Congregational Tool Kit' Six-CD Set
LHM’s Congregational Tool Kit on CD is great for churches and schools that want to receive LHM’s many outreach tools, but lack high-speed Internet to access our online tool kit. The tool kit on CD contains the same products found on the online Congregational Tool Kit (print, radio, and TV ads to promote your church or school; bulletin inserts; Web site resources; on-site training and event information; and topical booklets in PDF format).
