| LHM Ablaze! Resources Help You Share Christ |

 Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) is joining The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), other partner organizations, and individuals to meet the Ablaze!™ goal to reach 100 million unreached or uncommitted people by 2017, the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and the 100th anniversary of the International Lutheran Laymen’s League.
New LHM-produced Ablaze! resources will help you and your congregation share Christ’s message of hope with the lost. Bulletin inserts outline LHM’s PLANT method of witnessing to others. PLANT, an acronym to help you remember how to witness effectively, stands for pray, listen, ask, nurture, and trust.
There are also two versions of a wallet-sized card that feature the PLANT method that you can print and place in your wallet. One is a two-sided card that also has a witnessing prayer, and the other includes the witnessing prayer, encouraging Bible verses, and space for you to write names of those you are praying for.
A bulletin insert that can be found online, titled “How to Reach Out Through LHM Ablaze!”, gives an overview of purposeful questions and responses you can use while witnessing, examples of impact stories you can share, and tips about sharing the Gospel.

LCMS President Encouraged by LHM’s Ablaze! Efforts
LHM has set goals to reach 25 million people with the Good News of Jesus Christ and activate 250,000 volunteers as part of the LCMS Ablaze! movement.
LCMS President Dr. Gerald Kieschnick says he was thrilled when he checked the LCMS Ablaze! Web page and saw that 1.3 million confirmed contacts had been added to the overall LCMS Ablaze! count when LHM added its numbers reached on behalf of Ablaze! LHM began tracking contacts on behalf of Ablaze! in June 2004. “We’ve got a long way to go working toward 2017, but your work has already made a difference,” said Dr. Kieschnick.
Sign up to be an active participant in Ablaze! through LHM. Go to www.lhm.org/ablaze, click “Sign up to Contact,” and fill out the brief form. Once you have initially signed up, you can click “Report Your Contacts” and enter your e-mail address to report contacts.
