| Ambassadors Connect Your Church to Lutheran Hour Ministries’ Outreach Resources |

 If your church does not currently have an LHM (LLL) Ambassador, nominate someone today to begin taking greater advantage of the many outreach resources and referral-generating media programs that LHM offers.
An LHM Ambassador performs the following activities in your church:
• Informs you and your church body about LHM media programs and outreach resources to help your church reach out to your community and the world. An Ambassador does this by making occasional presentations to the church and providing LHM news and information for your church bulletin and newsletter and through LHM printed materials.
• Engages your church members in LHM outreach efforts and giving opportunities and thanks them for their volunteer efforts and financial support.
Here are just a few of the outreach resources and media programs that an LHM Ambassador can bring to your church:
• The LHM Congregational Tool Kit is an online resource where you can find the following: print, radio, and TV ads to promote your church or school; bulletin inserts; Web site resources; on-site training and event information; tools for schools; topical booklets (in PDF format); and comprehensive religious research to help you determine ways to reach out to your community.
• LHM’s Project Connect topical booklet display ministry features freestanding and tabletop booklet displays and dozens of LHM-produced booklets that you can use to assist people in your community who are coping with stress, health issues, etc.
• The Lutheran Hour, the world’s longest-running Christian outreach radio program, airs on more than 800 radio stations. It has served as a source for church referrals for 75 years.
• Living for Tomorrow is a multimedia outreach program that helps several congregations within a community connect with hurting people through LHM-produced ads offering a free topical booklet.
• Equipping to Share is a groundbreaking evangelism-training workshop held locally at the request of many interested congregations.
LHM provides its Ambassadors with many tools, as well as training, to help them effectively communicate LHM’s ministry programs to your church. These tools include talking points, videos, PowerPoint presentations, printed materials, and more.
Who would be a great LHM Ambassador for your church?
Someone who …
• enjoys actively furthering the outreach efforts of your church;
• believes in the work of Lutheran Hour Ministries (either as an LHM donor or volunteer);
• can commit to a few hours per month promoting LHM within your congregation and thanking LHM supporters for their donations and volunteer efforts;
• can comfortably speak before your congregation and who has good organizational skills;
• can access Web materials and e-mails since LHM provides many resources electronically (this is not a requirement; however, having electronic access makes the Ambassador more well informed and his or her experience easier).
To nominate a person to be your church’s LHM Ambassador:
Simply send the name and home address of the person, his or her phone number (and e-mail address, if you know it), your name, and the name and city of your church to ambassadors@lhm.org.
LHM’s Ambassador Coordinator will contact the person and, if the person chooses to be your Ambassador, send him/her all the information necessary get started as your LHM Ambassador. The LHM Ambassador Coordinator will also send you an e-mail letting you know if the person has accepted. She will then send a message to the LHM district representative serving your area to inform him/her to provide guidance to your new Ambassador. It would be very beneficial to us if you could also let the person you nominate know that you have submitted his/her name to us.
