| Now Available—Lutheran Hour Ministries' Customizable Advent Devotions |
 It's not too early to start planning your church's outreach strategy for this Christmas. One way to minister to church members and others in your community is to download and customize Lutheran Hour Ministries' Advent Devotions.
Two versions are available. From Nazareth to Bethlehem—An Advent Journey is a traditional devotion book that will show God on the move in the lives of men, both ancient and modern. Who Would Have Thought? is written in a more conversational style and uses anecdotal stories, lessons, and family Christmas traditions to show God's love through the birth of His Son.
Each version is available for download with a customizable cover. Churches or schools can add their names, service information, and Christmas event schedules. Besides sharing the reason for the season, these devotions serve as a way to remind members of worship opportunities during this Christmas season and invite neighbors to special events.
Both versions are customizable as PDF files in English. Audio is available for From Nazareth to Bethlehem and has a Spanish text version. Promotional features include bulletin shells, a PowerPoint slide template, a Web banner ad, and JPEG images of cover art. The Web site, www.adventdevotions.net, provides up-to-date information regarding which features are available for which versions.
In addition to the Advent Devotions, LHM has also released a new booklet called What Is Christmas? The booklet, written by LCMS Pastor Wayne Palmer, addresses the challenges and struggles that are all too familiar to many during this time of the year. The reader is reminded that God's gift of love in Jesus Christ can heal every wound and repair every broken relationship. Church Worker Survey About Women's Ministry—We Need Your Input!
Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) and Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) are working together to answer two questions: Is a women's ministry effort needed in the LCMS? If so, can LHM, in partnership with the LWML, help meet the need for effective women's ministry?
