International Lutheran Laymen's League
The
Rev. William “Bill” Yonker of West Dundee,
Ill., is the pastoral advisor for the International
Lutheran Laymen’s League (Int’l LLL), a
position to which he was appointed in 2004. In this
post, Yonker will give spiritual direction and guidance
to the Int’l LLL’s executive committee,
lead Bible studies and worships during official LLL
meetings and conventions, and promote the Gospel of
Jesus Christ wherever, whenever and however he can.
Yonker holds a bachelor’s degree in theology
from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Ind., and
a master’s of divinity degree from Concordia Seminary
in St. Louis, Mo. He has served for the past 10 years
as the senior pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church in
East Dundee, Ill., where he oversees a large staff,
preaches and teaches on a regular basis, directs the
administration of the congregation, and makes frequent
visits to parishioners in homes, nursing homes, and
hospitals. Yonker also travels around the United States
15 to 20 weekends a year speaking at youth events proclaiming
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
