Michael "Mick" Onnen
President
International Lutheran Laymen's League

Michael "Mick" OnnenMichael "Mick" Onnen of Davenport, Nebraska, serves as president of the International Lutheran Laymen's League (Int'l LLL), a volunteer Christian organization of more than 100,000 supporters. As president, Onnen's chief responsibilities include guiding the efforts of the Int'l LLL Board of Governors; speaking internationally on behalf of the organization; meeting with leaders of the Int'l LLL, Lutheran Hour Ministries, The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and Lutheran Church-Canada; and chairing the annual international convention of the Int'l LLL.

Married and the father of three, Onnen has served the Int'l LLL as international secretary, regional governor, and chairman, vice chairman, and member-at-large of the Ministries Committee. He has also served on the Policy Study and Resolutions Committees and been a district president, vice president, special projects chairman, development chairman, zone president, zone vice president, local club president, and Ambassador. At St. Peter Lutheran Church in Davenport, he has held the positions of congregational chairman and elder. Onnen has also served on various LCMS district committees.

Onnen is general manager for the Little Blue Natural Resources District and handles administration, budgeting, personnel, planning, and legislative matters. He holds a bachelor's degree in natural resources management from the University of Nebraska and has received the Nebraska Land Improvement Contractor's Outstanding Accomplishments Award.
