St. Louis, MO, Jun. 10, 2009 — Membership remains the driving force and a critical funding source for nonprofit organizations in the 21st century. Recent research shows that major demographic shifts may force many nonprofits to radically alter their strategies to meet the needs and demands of a whole new member population.
As the mainstay of its supporters continues to age and since younger generations are often not inclined to join organizations for long-term leadership roles, Lutheran Hour Ministries is investigating how to best reach more grassroots supporters in the future.
