The Lutheran Hour®

The Lutheran Hour® which began in 1930, is the world's longest-running, Christian outreach radio program. It proclaims the message of Jesus Christ to more than 800,000 people each week over 1300 radio stations across North America. It is also broadcast on the American Forces Network to reach military personnel and their families around the world.

Global Outreach

Around the globe, Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) is proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ using a variety of culturally appropriate venues and media. We have ministry centers in over 30 countries, each with local staff working hand-in-hand with dedicated volunteers and church partners.

Through innovative workshops, LHM is equipping individuals to share Christ's message of hope in their communities and is engaging volunteers and congregations to help connect those who respond to local Lutheran congregations where they will continue to be cared for and nurtured in their faith.

International Ministries Partnerships

Lutheran Hour Ministries partners with individuals and church congregations to share the Gospel in over 30 countries. Working through local staff at ministry centers in each country, LHM's International Ministries Partnership program enables you to be actively involved, communicate directly, give financial support, and encourage a ministry center of your choice. As a result, you will build relationships with our staff and volunteers, and support a variety outreach programs, such as helping children and youth learn about Christ through Vacation Bible Schools; training lay church leaders to share God's word through Equipping the Saints evangelism workshops; and organizing public events that not only entertain, but also promote a Christian witness.

International Volunteer Trips

Lutheran Hour Ministries, through the International Ministries Partnership program, offers unique short-term volunteer team opportunities for groups such as a congregation, district, school, youth group, Lutheran organization, or even a group of friends. Teams work alongside local LHM staff and volunteers in projects such as outreach events, ministry to children, construction, healthcare training, skills transfer, etc.

Men's NetWork

The Men's NetWork is designed to help new or existing men's ministry groups in any size church. Why a men's network? The statistics are in, and the news is less than great. Today, men are increasingly absent from the church and the number of empty seats is growing!

Online Mission Trips

Children's opportunities for hands-on service in the field tend to be limited but through Lutheran Hour Ministries' international Online Mission Trips, students attending Lutheran schools can experience much of the learning and thrill of a mission trip and develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the work of Lutheran hour Ministries International Ministry Centers.

Daily Devotions

Visit here to be refreshed through a meditation on God's Word. The devotions are updated daily, and you can also receive these devotions daily via e-mail or subscribe to the audio version on iTunes.

Seasonal Devotions

Devotions series written for Advent and Lent can be downloaded in English and Spanish, customized with your church's information, and printed in booklet form to share with others.

JCPlayZone

JCPlayZone has all of the ingredients of a typical children's Web site - games, crafts, coloring pages, and much more - but with a Christian perspective. This perspective is integrated throughout the site, making it a truly interactive Web site designed to engage children in a safe online environment.

MISSION U

MISSION U is Lutheran Hour Ministries' witnessing-training program designed to provide lay people with the tools and training needed to confidently accept their mission of sharing Jesus Christ with unique people in diverse settings.

The question everyone's asking is "What's five14?" Matthew 5:14 says, "You are the light of the world." Five14 is a training program designed for teens that inspires and trains them to shine Christ's light in the lives of their friends and classmates.

Regional Outreach Conferences

Regional Outreach Conferences are held in cities across the United States and in Canada. Come and be encouraged and equipped to be mission-minded witnesses for Jesus Christ. Through workshops, question-and-answer sessions, small-group discussions and more, attendees learn how to become more comfortable sharing and living the life-changing message of the Gospel.
