LHM and LCMS World Relief's Tsunami Efforts Receive Significant Coverage by NBC Affiliate
(February 2005)

Lutheran Hour Ministries and LCMS World Relief's efforts to assist tsunami survivors in Thailand were spotlighted in KSDK–News Channel 5’s 10 p.m. cover story on Feb. 3. KSDK is the NBC affiliate and TV news market leader in St. Louis. View the video of the story from KSDK's Web site.

The KSDK cover story features Reporter Deanne Lane’s recent journey to the tsunami-ravaged coast of Southern Thailand. She traveled with representatives of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and Lutheran Church—Canada, including Jarold Rux of LCMS World Relief and Human Care and Ian Adnams of Lutheran Church—Canada. Adnams is also the synodical liaison with the International Lutheran Laymen’s League and its outreach media ministry, Lutheran Hour Ministries. Monta “Boom” Ekwanit, Lutheran Hour Ministries’ international director in Thailand, served as Lane’s translator and guide. Ekwanit is managing relief efforts for LHM and LCMS World Relief on the ground in Thailand.
