The KSDK cover story features Reporter Deanne Lane’s recent journey to the tsunami-ravaged coast of Southern Thailand. She traveled with representatives of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and Lutheran Church—Canada, including Jarold Rux of LCMS World Relief and Human Care and Ian Adnams of Lutheran Church—Canada. Adnams is also the synodical liaison with the International Lutheran Laymen’s League and its outreach media ministry, Lutheran Hour Ministries. Monta “Boom” Ekwanit, Lutheran Hour Ministries’ international director in Thailand, served as Lane’s translator and guide. Ekwanit is managing relief efforts for LHM and LCMS World Relief on the ground in Thailand.
