Churches and Int'l LLL districts are encouraged to raise funds to send one or more young families from their area to the Convention to become equipped for outreach. Through Family Scholarships, churches offer opportunities for families to be strengthened and equipped to share Christ as a family and learn about the many outreach tools available to their congregation from Lutheran Hour Ministries. Attendees will bring back to their church creative ideas and LHM resources to help congregations share the love of Christ with more people in their community.

During the day, young scholarship parents will attend Convention activities like LHM ministry presentations, general sessions, and worship services while the children go to special activities designed just for them. Family Scholarship recipients will also attend the Fellowship Night at Kentucky Horse Park, where they and other Convention attendees will enjoy treasured time together. Parents will also have an opportunity to participate in the new Reach track of the Convention that includes workshops specifically geared to meet the needs of this younger generation.

Just $1,000 to $1,200 will cover the costs of lodging, a special reduced registration fee of $100 per family, meals, and events for the entire family. Churches can raise money for the sponsorship with a door offering, by setting aside money from the church budget, holding fundraisers such as pasta suppers, auctions, or yard sales, and more.
