Several LHM international directors will travel to Lexington to share with attendees poignant stories about how their ministry centers are reaching people with Christ's salvation hope. The directors expected to attend are Ricardo Arguello (Nicaragua), the Rev C. David (India), Rebeca de Franco (Guatemala), Monta "Boom" Ekwanit Denow (Thailand), Alberto Groh (Argentina), Mar Lay (Myanmar/Burma), Melissa Salomon (Mexico), Miriam Sonntag (Paraguay), and Paulo Warth (Brazil).
At the Convention, Rev. David and other directors will share how opportunities abound for you to get involved in global outreach. Rev. David and his team ministered to people in southern India after the 2004 tsunami, distributing audio cassettes, printed materials, and LHM Global Care Packages of hygiene products and school supplies packed by North American Lutherans. LHM-India uses radio, rallies, music, dramas, and other means to reach the Indian people. More than 13,000 people participate in LHM-India's Bible Correspondence Courses to learn about Christ's love for them.
In Myanmar, where people have suffered under an oppressive military government for decades, life is especially difficult for Christians spreading a message of hope to those who have lived for so long without it. LHM-Myanmar Director Mar Lay and other LHM directors will share personal stories of how God's Word is transforming lives in their countries, despite persecution.
Join us in Lexington to learn how the Lord is using Lutheran Hour Ministries to proclaim His Word around the world.
