Ready for a May 4 launch of new episodes, Lutheran Hour Ministries' Woman to Woman radio program will air on at least 216 stations (based on numbers dated April 3). The 30-minute radio program is hosted by Phyllis Wallace and will address topics of relevance and currency for women. Designed for women wherever they are in their faith walk, program guests offer expertise and experience for listeners to use in their own lives. The show's Web site, www.womantowomanradio.com, officially launched April 1.
In anticipation of the May launch, the LHM media team has been working hard getting the word out. Feedback received from station management has been favorable, especially from those airing Woman to Woman previously. "In some cases it was as if an old friend who had moved away some years ago was coming back to town," says Roy Middleton, a representative in LHM's Response Center. "Even those stations that are unable to fit it into the schedule at this time, in many cases have said that they will try to find a spot for it."
The content and quality of Woman to Woman will match the standard high production values of LHM's other radio offerings. "I'm finding now that those stations and program directors not familiar with Woman To Woman, but who have been airing The Lutheran Hour, seem to see the need for it when the program and format are explained," says Middleton.
As part of LHM's mission to take the Gospel to all people, Woman to Woman will be a resonant voice for women listeners. "Lutheran Hour Ministries' mission is to proclaim Jesus Christ as the Savior. New productions of Woman to Woman use a more direct spiritual approach for leading women to a better understanding of their need for Jesus Christ in their lives," says Executive Producer Sandi Clement. "Phyllis Wallace's personal experience, as well as her background in counseling, helps to assure the listener they are not alone."
