Nine Stations of the Good News Network Increase Coverage for 'Para el Camino'

The addition of new stations to air Para el Camino, Lutheran Hour Ministries' Spanish-language version of The Lutheran Hour, has nearly doubled the program's previous station count! "The new airings are stations owned by The Good News Network," said Sharmon Perschbacher, LHM senior account executive for Media Distribution. "The nine stations bring to 24 the number of airings of Para el Camino. The stations are located in Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina," she added.

The 25-year-old Good News Network is headquartered in Appling, Georgia. It is a listener-supported nonprofit regional radio ministry that offers Christian programming to areas in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North and South Carolina, and Texas. The network features Christian programming by such longtime radio mainstays as Charles Swindoll, Dr. James Dobson, and Dr. Charles Stanley.

This station increase is in keeping with the rising popularity of Para el Camino in domestic areas where Spanish is spoken. "LHM continues to be interested in sustaining airings throughout the United States—especially where the Spanish-speaking population is prevalent," Perschbacher said.

For information about where to find a station offering Para el Camino, please check out the broadcast guide at www.lhm.org/broadcastresult.asp.

Para el Camino can also be accessed online at www.paraelcamino.com. Online listeners to the program come from China, Mexico, Central and South America, and Spain. A Spanish-language companion resource, "Devociones Diarias," is available at www.paraelcamino.com/alimentodiario.asp. "Devociones Diarias" are Pastor Ken Klaus' Daily Devotions translated into Spanish.
