2009 Combined Federal Campaign Gearing Up
If you are a federal employee or a member of the military, don't miss this opportunity to support the Lord's work! Lutheran Hour Ministries is once again participating in the Combined Federal Campaign, a workplace giving opportunity for federal employees and military personnel. The campaign allows them to support a variety of charities by paycheck deduction, which is taken out before taxes. LHM received nearly $35,000 in pledges from the 2008 campaign.
Established in 1961, the campaign is the largest of its type in the United States and the only one authorized to solicit charitable contributions from employees in federal workplaces.
For more information, see LHM's ad in the "best of the CFC" newspaper insert, found online at www.bestcfc.org, or in your area campaign's brochure.
Many federal campaigns allow charities to have an exhibit booth at this fall's kickoff events for employees around the country. LHM plans to participate in as many of these events as possible. Specific dates will be available in the near future. If you would like to set up a booth or help staff a booth in your area, please send an e-mail with "CFC" as the subject line to ambassador@lhm.org so that we can begin planning for these booths.
If you are not a federal employee or a member of the military, check with your Human Resources staff to find out if your workplace has a giving program similar to the Combined Federal Campaign.
