New 'Equipping to Share' Web Site Offers Tools for Expanded Witness Training
Looking for ways to keep your Christian witness sharp? In August, Lutheran Hour Ministries is introducing an Equipping to Share (EtS) follow-up training Web site. Designed especially for those who have hosted or attended one of LHM's popular outreach seminars, www.lhm.org/equipping/afterworkshop.asp both supplements and reinforces the materials provided in EtS sessions. New and updated resources for both individual training and group practice will be available. Whether your congregation wants to form a follow-up training group or individuals are looking to brush up on witnessing skills, this Web site will prove valuable. Content will be updated and expanded regularly in order to provide an Internet resource that's viable and current.
On the EtS Web site you'll find a schedule of summer, fall, and winter workshops for 2009 and 2010 that includes dates and locations. Also available are follow-up training articles; current and archived EtS newsletters; an extensive list of "mission moments" submitted by workshop attendees, hosts, or leaders; and LHM programs and materials to supplement any congregation's efforts to reach individuals inside or outside their church.
For those new to hosting EtS, remember that if you schedule a workshop between September 2009 and May 2010, you are eligible for a FREE Practicing Hospitality kit. Go to www.lhm.org/ph/default.htm for more information!
