'Share His Story' through the Convention Servant Event
You can help share Christ's message of hope with those who need to hear it. This year, the children and youth of the International Convention of the International Lutheran Laymen's League (Int'l LLL) are collecting Bibles for distribution at the Brenner's Children's Hospital on the campus of the Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The hospital will distribute Bibles to children ages 2-10. Adult convention attendees will collect large print Bibles for older patients at the Baptist Hospital and residents of nursing facilities in the Greensboro area.
The children and youth will put a personal touch on the project by creating memory labels and prayer cards for each Bible. Children's Bibles will be available at the convention for $5 and large print Bibles will be sold for $11. Bibles can be purchased until Friday evening so that the children can finish all of the memory labels and prayer cards by Saturday's banquet. More information will be provided at the Convention. The 92ndAnnual Convention of the Int'l LLL, under the theme "Share His Story," will be held July 16-19 at the Sheraton Hotel and Joseph Koury Conference Center in Greensboro.
