Int'l LLL Board of Governors Approves New Fiscal Year Budget
The Board of Governors for the International Lutheran Laymen's League/Lutheran Hour Ministries met in Saint Louis the weekend of April 16-18 with the main purpose of passing the ministry's fiscal year 2010 budget. The approved budget puts emphasis on the proclamation of the Gospel through The Lutheran Hour and Woman to Woman radio broadcasts, strengthening LHM's International Ministries, and providing enhanced online resources through the LHM Men's NetWork.
The meeting also featured an address from Pastor Ken Klaus, Speaker of The Lutheran Hour, as well as reports from LHM's four division directors. Board members discussed ideas for a new governance model, heard about the new strategic plan developed by LHM staff, and brainstormed ideas about a proposal for moving to biennial international conventions that will be on the ballot at this summer's international convention in Greensboro, North Carolina.
