See 'Global Impact' in Progress! Release No: 09-40 By Gregory Koenig

Aug. 6 CHENNAI, India: A volunteer group from the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of the Int'l LLL is currently in India, taking part in a Global Impact Volunteer short-term mission trip. Their project is to continue renovation begun last year on the 50-year-old Christian Media Centre (the name by which LHM's ministry center in India is known), and they have been posting insights, photos, and videos over the Internet as the trip unfolds.
To follow the group on their journey, go to www.cnhindiamission.org. You can visit the Web site any time to meet the team members, see images and videos from the 2008 trip, and get a sense of the need of India's people for the Good News of Jesus the Savior. While they're traveling, log on to their blog and interact with them from half a world away!
India is a country of 1.2 billion people, yet fewer than 4 percent of them are Christian. It may be considered the world's largest democracy, but Indian Christians often suffer, even die, for their faith. India is a place of overwhelming poverty; 86 percent of its people live on less than $2.50 a day. But God is at work there; you can get a glimpse of His work by following our Global Impact team.
