Jan. 4 NAIROBI, Kenya: While much of the world jubilantly celebrated the coming of the new year, Kenyans awoke to shocking reports that dozens of people were burned alive or hacked to death in a church in the Rift Valley city of Eldoret. This violent incident underscores the volatile tribal hostilities surrounding a recent presidential election.
