'The Lutheran Hour' Rally

Rupp Arena, Lexington, Kentucky
Free and Open to the Public

Join Us for a Rally That Will Shake the Rafters of Legendary Rupp Arena

As part of the International Convention of the International Lutheran Laymen’s League, more than 1,000 Christians are expected to attend The Lutheran Hour Rally on Saturday, July 26 at 4 p.m. Featuring a powerful message from Pastor Ken Klaus, Speaker of The Lutheran Hour® radio program, this year’s Rally is at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. The Rally will also include music from a convention choir composed of members from Lexington-area churches and other convention attendees. Event parking and admission are free and open to the public.

Rally Features Christian Band Mile 7
Mile 7 recently won the Battle of the Bands at the 2008 Ichthus Christian music festival. Mile 7 composes music that is both culturally relevant and spiritually effective, using music as a means to make the name of Jesus Christ known. Hear how the band impacts youth to become bold in their passion for Christ by sharing the message that our faith is not just for church on Sunday morning, but an opportunity to leave our unique fingerprints on the hearts of those around us for Christ’s Kingdom.

Help Make the Youth Servant Event a Success!
This year, the convention youth will be conducting their annual servant event prior to the Rally. They will be collecting canned food for God’s Pantry Food Bank.Local residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the drive and stay for The Lutheran Hour Rally.

God’s Pantry Food Bank is an organization supporting 387 hunger relief agencies in central and eastern Kentucky that has distributed more than 13.3 million pounds of food over the last 10 months.

Enjoy Other Exciting Convention Activities
Convention attendees will also be able to attend mini-retreats led by Pastor Klaus and Phyllis Wallace, host of Lutheran Hour Ministries’ Woman to Woman radio program, hear inspiring stories from directors of several of Lutheran Hour Ministries’ overseas offices, and listen to special guest Pat Day’s story of how the hall of fame jockey struggled with addiction and experienced a life-changing transformation through the grace of God. The Lutheran Hour Rally also serves as the conclusion to a one-day track of the convention called Reach that targets younger adults and motivates them for effective outreach.
