Tour/Lunch at the Western Development Museum
Gear up for the convention by taking a tour of one of Saskatoon's featured attractions. Boomtown, one of the largest indoor streets in North America, encourages participants to experience the prairies from the perspective of the early 1900s. Check out the latest fashions of 1910, stop by the Boomtown Studio and take a look at the impressive collection of vintage cars. Lunch will be provided during the tour.
"Taste of Saskatoon" Lunch Featuring Elaine Bickel
This Thursday lunch is conveniently located at the headquarters hotel, the Delta Bessborough, and features festive fare from Canada's sunshine capital. Elaine Bickel, a dynamic internationally-known speaker who appeals to a wide range of people, will share real-life examples that inspire and motivate attendees and bring laughter to this event. In addition to serving as a frequent banquet and retreat speaker, Bickel is the principal of St. Paul Lutheran School in Millington, Michigan, and has authored numerous Concordia Publishing House curriculum materials for Sunday Schools, Vacation Bible Schools, and Lutheran day schools, written three Bible study books (Living With Compulsive Behavior , Growing as a Christian Mother and Roots and Wings: A Parent's Challenge) and had devotions and articles published in Lutheran Woman's Quarterly, Guideposts and a variety of other publications.

On Saturday morning, members of The Hoffmann Society will be honored at a breakfast sponsored by the Hoffmann Society. The event will be highlighted by a candid conversation between LHM Executive Director Bruce Wurdeman and Speaker of The Lutheran Hour Rev. Greg Seltz. The Hoffmann Society is a group of dedicated Christians who have been led by the Holy Spirit to provide financial support for Lutheran Hour Ministries beyond their own lifetime through charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, life insurance gifts, a will or a living trust.
"Ready...Sent...Go" Witness-Training Activity
Rev. Greg Seltz, Speaker of The Lutheran Hour, will lead attendees in a dynamic Saturday morning activity that will present opportunities to practice sharing your faith in a fun, interactive setting. You'll experience mission moments presented through live sketches, video, and direct audience participation-real-time simulated witnessing scenarios designed to sharpen your on-the-spot evangelism skills. This event kicks off Saturday's "mini-ROC," which will include a number of afternoon workshops centered around a variety of outreach topics to reach today's culture and encourage attendees to be mission-minded witnesses for Jesus Christ.
Lutheran Hour Ministries Celebration Worship Service
Join hundreds of Christians for worship at the Lutheran Hour Ministries Celebration Worship Service. The Saturday afternoon service will be led by Rev. Greg Seltz, Speaker of The Lutheran Hour, and Rev. Keith Grimm, Pastoral Advisor for the International Lutheran Laymen's League. The service will also feature the popular Parade of Nations where flags from each nation where Lutheran Hour Ministries has a ministry center are brought into the convention center. Music for the service, as well as for the children's events, will be provided by Kelowna, British Columbia, Christian recording artist Jennifer Jade Kerr, an accomplished worship music leader whose music has been described as "wise, passionate and breathtaking."

Relax before the Saturday evening banquet by attending a special reception to thank Int'l LLL President Mick Onnen for his two terms of service while welcoming the newly elected chairman of the board to his new position.
