LHM's Ablaze! Participation

Lutheran Hour Ministries, as an involved partner mission agency of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, has committed to being an active participant in the Ablaze! movement of reaching 100 million unreached and uncommitted people with the Gospel by 2017, the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

As an active Ablaze! participant, LHM and its volunteers' goals are to:

1)

Engage in 25 million confirmed contacts with unreached or uncommitted people by 2017.

The number of LHM confirmed contacts since our participation in Ablaze! began in June 2004 is:

This number contributes 11.01% of LHM's goal of 25 million people reached through confirmed contacts by 2017.

The number reached thus far through all LCMS-wide Ablaze! efforts is 8,613,831.

This number is 2.75% of the 100 million overall LCMS Ablaze! goal.

Train and activate 250,000 volunteers to reach out to the lost by 2010.

The number of trained and/or activated volunteers by LHM as reported since our participation in Ablaze! began in June 2004 is:

This number is 30.89% of LHM's goal of activating 250,000 people for LHM Ablaze! outreach efforts and other LHM volunteer initiatives by 2010. Includes people who sign up (in the box above) to make Ablaze! contacts.

  LHM Volunteer Opportunites

Serve as the media arm of LCMS to provide TV, radio, and print ads and Christian media programming to assist in the start up of 2,000 new churches by 2017. Program begins June 2006.
